Edwards, a defender, joined the Greens after last playing for Scottish Women’s Premier League side Aberdeen, featuring 21 times in all competitions.

The 23-year-old started her career with Brighton’s academy, spending five years on the south coast, winning the Manager’s Player of the Year award in every season. A move to Cobham followed, playing for Chelsea Academy alongside a familiar face to the Green Army, Caitlin Smith.

A trip across the Atlantic handed Edwards the opportunity to experience a different style of football, playing one season in the NCAA for Loyola University, Maryland, before returning to the UK and moving to Scotland.
