Marosi joined Argyle as a free agent in September, with Argyle bolstering their goalkeeping ranks following an injury to Conor Hazard. Marosi’s contract is a short-term deal until at least January.
Marko was born in Slovakia, and has played for his country’s under-21 side, but he studied football at Burnley College, and played for Lancashire non-league side Barnoldswick Town, where he caught the eye of Wigan Athletic.
After signing for the Latics, he moved to Doncaster Rovers, where he gradually established himself as the first-choice goalkeeper, playing almost 100 games.
In 2019, Marko moved to Coventry City, where he played a significant part in the Sky Blues’ promotion to the Sky Bet Championship. He followed this up with 20 games in the second tier with Coventry, then headed to Shrewsbury Town where he spent three seasons as a virtual ever-present.
