Left-sided wing-back Saxon Earley joined Argyle in the opening days of the January 2023 transfer window, signing for an undisclosed feee from Norwich City.

Saxon had spent the first half of the 2022/23 season on loan at Stevenage, where he played 27 times. His impressive performances for Stevenage, in Sky Bet League Two, meant that Bro fans were disappointed when he was recalled, as he had helped them to second in the division at that stage with all-action displays, showing a great engine and versatility.  

Earley, from a family of Norwich fans, spent his formative years with the Canaries, progressing through the club's academy, captaining the Under-18 and Under-23 teams.  

Saxon scored twice in his nine appearances during Argyle's 2022/23 title-winning campaign, including a strike in a 3-1 win at Oxford United on his starting debut.
