Will Jenkins Davies Returns to Torquay on Loan
Will Jenkins Davies has rejoined Torquay United on loan.
The midfielder, in on his first season as a professional outside of the Under-18 squad, spent a period on loan at Plainmoor earlier this season, playing ten times. In the last of those ten games, he scored for Torquay away at Hemel Hempstead on 23 September, but injured his knee in that game, and has not played since.
Will has played 11 times for Argyle’s first team. Seven of those have appearances have been in the EFL Trophy, including a game at Swindon Town last season in which Will scored his first senior goal. He has also appeared from the bench in Sky Bet League One three times, and started in the Emirates FA Cup at Grimsby Town last season.
"It's brilliant to have Will fit again, and that he is to go back to Torquay on loan," said Argyle first-team coach and head of player development Kevin Nancekivell. "He has recovered well from his injury; Gareth Law and his team of medics have done a fantastic job to get him up to speed.
"He will rejoin Torquay, and is available for them this weekend. He was just starting to get going before getting his knee injury, had got his first goal and was becoming a regular in the team. Hopefully that can continue now he is back, and his development can progress."
