Plymouth Argyle Football Club is looking for a Volunteer Supervisor & Safeguarding Advisor to join the busy Visitor Experience department.

Within this role you will be responsible for the matchday supervision and co-ordination of the club’s “Here to Help” team; a volunteer team dedicated to providing supporters and visitors with the highest quality experiences across all Home Park match days, concerts and events.

You will assist with compiling rotas; the recruitment, training and induction of new volunteers to the team; leading pre-match briefings; the supervision of the team on match and event days and the team’s ongoing performance management assessments.

A key driver to success will be the achievement of the Gold award in the EFL’s Family Excellence Scheme. Plymouth Argyle not only achieved the Gold award in this initiative in the 2023/24 season but were also ranked as the number one club of all 72 in the EFL for the quality of the match day experience it provides to families at Home Park. The club wishes to maintain this position, and so the successful applicant will play a significant role in delivering the club’s work in this area, with the Gold award a key objective.

You will therefore join a successful, well-established team, comprised of dedicated, passionate individuals. You will be expected to contribute to the team’s continued excellence and success through your energy, enthusiasm and leadership.

You will also play a vital role in the club’s safeguarding operations, receiving specific training to enable you to handle any safeguarding issues that may arise on match and event days.

Based at Home Park Stadium in Plymouth, the role is contracted across annualised hours (230 in total, 10 hours per week in each of the weeks where there is a home league game) in order to cover all home league games. Cup matches and other events are offered as overtime.

You will be:
