Vacancy: Visitor Experience Officer

Full time: 35 hours  

Salary: £22,500 

Location: Home Park Stadium, Plymouth, PL2 3DQ 

Plymouth Argyle Football Club is looking for a dedicated Visitor Experience Officer to join our busy Visitor Experience department.  

As the club’s Visitor Experience Officer, you will be responsible for handling the daily operations of the department, ensuring that exemplary service and experiences are offered across all Home Park match days, concerts and events.  

The role holder will serve as the club’s Supporter Liaison Officer and Disability Liaison Officer, ensuring that supporters enjoy the best experience at both home and away matches. Some travel to away fixtures will therefore be required (provided by the club).  

A key driver to success will be the achievement of the Gold award in the EFL’s Family Excellence Scheme. Plymouth Argyle not only achieved the Gold award in this initiative in the 2023/24 season but were also ranked as the number one club of all 72 in the EFL for the quality of match day experience provided to families at Home Park. The club wishes to maintain this position, and so the successful applicant will play a significant role in delivering the club’s work in this area, with the Gold award a key objective.  

You will work closely with the Visitor Experience Manager to deliver effective departmental operations and due to the nature of the role, close collaboration with other front-facing departments will be essential.  

Based at Home Park Stadium in Plymouth with the option for hybrid-working available, you will be a key member of our front-facing team and deliver exceptional experiences for supporters and visitors, ensuring they return to us again and again.  

You will be:

• Calming, de-escalating, de-emotionalising and professional in conflict situations.  

• Able to commit to working all match and event days as required. 

• Committed to delivering excellent service and visitor experiences across the club, and to our Vision & Values. 

You will have:  

• Experience working in customer service, with the ability to deliver industry leading service  

• Experience in handling and resolving customer queries and complaints effectively  

• Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
