Plymouth Argyle Football Club are looking for a dedicated and proactive individual to join our team as a full-time Facilities Operative. 

About the Role

As a Facilities Operative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our multi-site operations are safe, clean, and welcoming for our fans, players, and staff. This position is integral to our club, embodying our values of fan focus, community engagement, environmental responsibility, and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs across the club’s facilities.
  • Ensure all areas are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
  • Support match day operations, including setting up and taking down equipment.
  • Respond promptly and efficiently to maintenance requests.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any issues.
  • Work flexible shifts, including out-of-hours and all home matchdays.
  • Travel to various Club sites including Haxter Court warehouse, Harpers Football Centre, Harpers Park, Millenium Street pitches, and Brickfields Community Sports site.

Key Requirements:

  • Understanding of building maintenance procedures.
  • Awareness of health and safety regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
  • Basic IT skills for reporting and communication.
  • Ability to work independently with initiative.
  • Previous experience in a facilities or maintenance role.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths.
  • Relevant technical qualifications in plumbing, electrical work, or general maintenance.
  • Health and Safety certification.
  • A valid driving licence (essential).
