Vacancy: Ticket Sales Assistant 

Duration: Permanent & Casual/Match Day 

Full Time: 25 hours (permanent) & Varied (Casual/Match Day) 

Location: Home Park Ticket Office 

Plymouth Argyle Football Club are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join the Home Park Ticket Office team. 

About the Role: 

As a member of the Ticket Office team, you will be required to deliver all ticketing requirements for match days, concerts and events.  

The role will require a confident approach as you will be dealing with customers, face to face and over the telephone.  

Key Responsibilities: 

  • In person customer service, establish the customers’ requirements 
  • Answer all incoming calls and establish the customer’s requirements.  
  • Accurately process ticket sales as required. 
  • Ensure that information to supporters and visitors to Home Park are correct and up to date. 
  • Ensure all data is collected and updated accurately in accordance with GDPR. 
  • Cash handling, processing debit and credit card sales. 
  • Daily till reconciliation  
  • Advise supporters of matches/events on sale and other products as required. 
  • Help resolve any ticketing queries.  

Experience: 

  • Experience working in a customer-facing or sales role 
  • Cash handling and processing credit card payments 

Special Skills & Knowledge: 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Creativity and enthusiasm 
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office, Excel, internet communication tools. 
  • Flexibility to work on different projects to meet team priorities 
  • Excellent customer service skills, in person and phone. 
  • Be a team player with a proactive approach to day-to-day issues. Be enthusiastic, hardworking, and flexible to the many and varied requirements of the role and of the club. 

Qualifications: 

  • GCSE’s or equivalent in English and Maths 
  • IT competent and familiar with Microsoft Word & Excel
