Under-18s v Portsmouth (H) | Preview
Argyle's Under-18s head into this weekend with a 100% record this season to protect, and they will seek to do so against Portsmouth at Millennium Fields (Saturday, midday).
The Young Pilgrims have beaten Cheltenham Town, Forest Green Rovers and Exeter City to sit top of the Youth Alliance League with three wins from three so far. They have also been successful in cup action, most recently picking up a win last weekend, at Newport County.
Argyle overcame adversity in that game, going down to 10 players with the scores goalless, but rallying to finish as the stronger side and win the game 3-0.
Coincidentally, Portsmouth have played the same three league opponents as Argyle thus far. Pompey were free scoring in wins against Exeter (4-0) and Forest Green (6-3), but lost 2-1 at home to Cheltenham.
Portsmouth beat Argyle in the Youth Alliance Cup last season, but in three subsequent league meetings, one was drawn and the Greens won the other two.
