Trevor East Steps Down
On Thursday, Trevor East resigned from his position on the Plymouth Argyle Board of Directors after informing the club of his decision to step down for personal reasons.
Trevor joined Argyle at the end of 2019 and played an integral part at a strategic level in one of the club’s most successful periods in its history.
Having spent the majority of his career in broadcast and television at ITV and Sky Sports, respectively, Trevor has been a sounding board as Argyle have developed into one of the leading EFL clubs for marketing and communications.
Argyle Chairman Simon Hallett sang the praises of East and his contributions during his time on the board, saying: “Trevor has been an excellent board director and his contacts, knowledge and support have opened a number of doors for us over the past five years.
“I’m sorry to see Trevor depart but I fully respect his decision and wish him well. He leaves us in a better place than when he joined, and he made immense contributions to making that possible.
“Trevor knows that he is always welcome at Home Park and on behalf of my fellow directors, I would like to thank him for all his support in my time as Chairman.”
Argyle Chief Executive Andrew Parkinson echoed the sentiments of the Chairman and added: “I’ve known and worked with Trevor for several years and was delighted to bring him to the club in 2019 to serve as a board director.
“In those five years the club has moved forward at pace, in particular his support for our Academy teams has been outstanding, attending many games and always championing the cause, I can’t thank Trevor enough for his contribution towards that. It’s been a pleasure to work with him and I wish him all the best for the future.”
Everyone at Argyle would like to thank Trevor for his efforts and contributions during his time on the board and wish him every success for his future endeavours.
