Torquay Friendly Preview

On the evening of Tuesday, 18 July 18th, Argyle face Torquay United away at Plainmoor for pre-season friendly that has become an annual occurrence.

It is almost a year to the day that the sides last met, in the build-up to the 2022/23 season. Argyle were impressive on the night, winning the game 5-0. Finn Azaz’s early strike was added to by a Danny Mayor brace, a goal from former Gull Adam Randell and an effort by Jack Endacott.

Torquay, who are managed by Gary Johnson, will compete in the Vanarama National League South this season after being relegated last time out. Their squad contains former Argyle graduate centre-back Ollie Tomlinson.
