Sparksy's Charity Ball Grand Total Revealed

We are thrilled to report that the inaugural Gordon Sparks Charity Ball at Home Park Stadium, in honour of our late, great club ambassador ‘Sparksy’, raised over £3,000 for two cancer charities.

The grand total of £3209.50 will be distributed between The Chestnut Appeal and Mustard Tree Cancer Support Centre, two causes close to Gordon’s heart, and, by extension, the hearts of everyone associated with Argyle.

In the throes of an incredibly competitive and exciting season on the pitch, Gordon is rarely far from our thoughts. The club was proud to see his face beamed across the big screens at Wembley Stadium in front of 40,000 supporters last weekend, and we are extremely grateful for the generosity of the local community in supporting the Ball.

We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to Gavin Marshall, a personal friend of Sparksy, who organised the event.

Such was the success of the evening, plans are already in place next year’s charity ball, and more information will be shared in due course.
