Seven Argyle players on international duty in March

Seven Argyle players will represent their countries during the March international window.

Qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup ramps up this month, and a pair of Greens will be fighting to book their place at the greatest show of all.

Nikola Katic's Bosnia and Herzegovina begin their qualifying campaign, starting with a trip to Bucharest to face Romania behind closed doors, before hosting Cyprus in Zenica.

Austria and San Marino are the other teams in Group H. The group winners will progress through to the Finals, while the second-placed side will contest the play-offs.

Mustapha Bundu and Sierra Leone will resume their own qualifying campaign - starting with a huge clash against Guinea-Bissau in Monrovia, Liberia.

The Leone Stars are fourth out of six teams in Group A, on five points. Above them are Burkina Faso (3rd, five points), Guinea-Bissau (2nd, six points) and their other opposition during this international window, Egypt (1st, ten points).

The group winners progress automatically, alongside the four best second-placed teams, based on the number of points they have picked up.

Victor Palsson, Maksym Talovierov, and Conor Hazard won't begin their World Cup bids until September, but will still be busy with matches of their own.

Talovierov's Ukraine will face Belgium in a two-legged play-off for the chance to compete in UEFA Nations League A, with the loser playing a level below.

Palsson's Iceland will be hoping to retain their League B status, but must beat Kosovo over two legs in order to do so.

Hazard, meanwhile, will be hoping to feature for Northern Ireland as they face Switzerland and Sweden in friendlies.

Darko Gyabi will once again represent England's Elite League Squad, as they face Portugal in Leiria.

The squad will then travel to Marbella to take on Switzerland's Under-21s in a friendly.

Freddie Issaka's Wales Under-19s will face a triple-header, as they compete in the 'Elite Round' of the Under-19 European Championship qualifiers.

This is the final stage of qualifying, and Issaka's side have home advantage, with all matches in their group taking place at Welsh grounds.

Wales will start off against England in Bangor, before a pair of matches in Rhyl, against Portugal and Turkey.

Only the group winner will progress to the Finals.
