Schumacher Nominated for April Manager of the Month

Steven Schumacher is one of the nominations for the Sky Bet League One Manager of the Month for April. 

A month that concluded with the Pilgrims' promotion to the Championship began with a 3-1 win at Morecambe, followed by defeat at home to Lincoln City, just the second home loss of the season for Schumacher's side. 

Argyle regrouped though, winning five straight games, against Exeter City, Shrewsbury Town, Cambridge United, Bristol Rovers and Burton Albion. The final game of that run saw emotional scenes as Niall Ennis's goal made the Greens' promotion a certainty. 

Schumacher is joined in the nominations list by fellow promotion-winning manager Kieran McKenna, of Ipswich Town, as well Liam Manning of Oxford United and Mark Bonner of Cambridge United, who have improved their respective sides' survival hopes. 

The winner will be announced on Friday, 5 May.
