Saxon Earley Joins Wycombe Wanderers on Loan
Saxon Earley has joined Wycombe Wanderers on loan until the end of the season.
The 21-year-old left-back started two games at the beginning of this season: against Leyton Orient in the Carabao Cup, then the 0-0 draw in the Sky Bet Championship at Watford four days later. He caught the eye in both, as the Pilgrims kept two clean sheets, but shortly afterwards he suffered ankle ligament damage which has kept him out ever since.
In recent weeks, he has returned to training, being given a cautious reintroduction to non-competitive action, and is now set to get a chance to get some minutes under his belt in League One, with Wycombe.
He will join Matt Butcher, who departed Home Park this week to join Wycombe on a permanent basis.
Saxon joined Argyle at the beginning of 2023, in last season’s January transfer window, and played nine times, including four starts, as the Greens won the League One title.
Before that, Saxon came through the ranks at Norwich City, and impressed on a loan spell at Stevenage in League Two, before signing for Argyle.
Go well, Saxon.
