RIP Ben Rendle
Everyone at Plymouth Argyle is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of former Head of Finance, Ben Rendle.
Rendle, a highly popular former member of staff at the football club, worked in the Finance department for over 10 years having joined in 2010. He was a hardworking, long-term member of staff who operated under several managers and CEOs in his time at the club.
He steered Argyle through the difficult times of Administration, going unpaid throughout that period to ensure the club did not experience any further financial difficulty.
Thought of highly by his colleagues, he left Argyle in 2020 to set up his own business which had been thriving in recent times.
Argyle Chairman Simon Hallett was devastated to hear the news and commented: “Ben was someone I got to know well during his time at the club and I was shocked to hear of his passing.
“He was a young man with a young family and lots of life left to live and this news is just devastating for everyone. I want to personally send my condolences to his family and friends.”
Ben is survived by his wife and three children. Everyone at Argyle sends our best to them and Ben’s wider family and friends.
Rest in Peace, Ben.
