Redball Ventures for Rovers
We are delighted to welcome Redball Ventures as our shirt sleeve sponsor for Tuesday’s Papa John’s Trophy opener against Bristol Rovers at Home Park.
Redball Ventures will be a name familiar to the eagle-eyed Argyle supporter, as the company is part of the Argyle Green group which invested £4m into the club in return for a 20% stake earlier this month.
It is the first time that the club has secured a shirt sleeve sponsor in the Papa John’s Trophy competition, and Argyle’s Head of Commercial Operations, James Greenacre, is delighted to welcome another name to the growing list of sponsors at Home Park.
He said: “I would like to thank Redball Ventures for their support of the team in the Papa John’s Trophy. Perhaps more importantly, though, it’s wonderful to see our new investors proactively finding ways to get involved in backing the club.
“The brand power of Argyle is as strong as it has ever been, and the expertise available to us through members of our new investment group, like those involved in Redball Ventures, is going to be crucial in helping us to maximise our assets.
“Increasing our global commercial footprint to match our strong platform in the UK is a big target for us, and this is becoming an ever more realistic prospect as interest in the club from overseas markets continues to grow.”
On behalf of Redball Ventures, Nick Giannotti said: “Redball Ventures is thrilled to partner with and support Plymouth Argyle in their quest for a Papa John’s Trophy. The club is making investments in all of the right places including the community, infrastructure, fan experience, and environmental sustainability. We look forward to the ongoing successes both on and off the pitch.”
Tickets remain on sale for the tie on Tuesday night, which is also available to stream live and worldwide on Argyle TV. Click here to purchase your match pass.
