QPR game to be dedicated Her Game Too fixture
Argyle’s Sky Bet Championship game against QPR on Tuesday night will be this season’s dedicated Her Game Too fixture.
The campaign was launched by a group of female football fans in the summer of 2021, with the aim of creating a dedicated anonymous reporting service for supporters to report incidents of sexist abuse.
Football is a game for all, and everyone at Argyle is intent on providing a safe and welcoming environment for all football fans, embodying the Argyle values we live by every day.
The Club have an array of Her Game Too advocates providing a safe space for the Green Army and a lead ambassador in Megan Stone.
Upon the announcement, Megan commented: “I am delighted to announce that Argyle’s dedicated Her Game Too fixture will be at this Tuesday’s game against QPR.
“Her Game Too is a campaign that has gone from strength to strength since its inception and dedicated fixtures such as these allow the campaign to showcase its work on a larger scale and make a bigger impact.
“I can’t wait for Tuesday night and want to remind the Green Army that we are here to help, should you ever need us.”
The dedicated fixture on Tuesday night will see a variety of activities taking place which will showcase and celebrate the opportunities for young girls and women at the Club.
Argyle players will wear Her Game Too warm-up t-shirts, the match ball will be walked on by the Club’s Her Game Too ambassador and all flagbearers for the match will be female.
On the big screen at half-time, fans will also see a special club focused Her Game Too video featuring players, staff, and supporters, which will also be available to view on Argyle TV.
