PLG Consultants to partner with St Luke's Sparksy Legacy Project
PLG Consultants will sponsor the newly introduced St Luke's Sparksy Legacy Scheme at Home Park for the 2023/24 Sky Bet Championship season.
The St Luke's Sparksy Legacy Scheme will see a patient of St Luke's Hospice gifted an experience at an Argyle home game.
The guests will receive food and drink and be able to watch Steven Schumacher's men in action from the new PLG Consultants branded viewing platform in the Beacon Electrical Lower Mayflower.
Daniel Pippen, Argyle Supporter Relations Manager, said: “We are thrilled to be launching this partnership with St. Luke’s, in conjunction with PLG Consultants.
"Our teams are passionate about delivering the very best experiences for our supporters, and this initiative will help us to do exactly that for those cared for by St. Luke’s. We know this will make a real difference to those who will visit us through the scheme, and hope it will stand as a fitting legacy for our beloved Sparksy.”
Penny Hannah, St Luke's Hospice Head of Fundraising, commented on the announcement: “All of us at St Luke’s Hospice Plymouth and especially our nurses, are overwhelmed, with the kindness shown by Argyle, by creating the gift to our patient’s in our care for the wish to get to a match, just as Sparksy wanted.
"The fact that the club has officially secured a wheelchair bay on the platform of the Lower Mayflower stand for families in our care, and a wheelchair user space plus an accompanying carer is very special. If someone is a fan and have been for years, they do not want to miss out and often this is one last wish to be at Home Park. Thank you endlessly for making this happen, the Sparksy, St Luke’s Pilgrim space, how very special!”
Phil Gill, PLG Consultants Managing Director, added: "We have been looking at ways of supporting the club in a way that fits the work we do.
"Having listened to, and been friends with, Sparksy for many years and also seen the tremendous help St Lukes gave to my best friends sister earlier this year it felt like a great initiative to be a part of."
James Greenacre, Argyle Head of Commercial, concluded: “I am delighted that PLG Consultants have agreed to sponsor the ‘St Luke’s Sparksy Legacy Scheme’ at Home Park for the 23/24 season.
“Our community and our people form an integral part of everything we do here day to day at Argyle and this scheme is no different. PLG Consultants have really bought into our Argyle values, and I can’t wait to see this innovative scheme make a genuine difference.”
