Oscar Halls Joins Plymouth Parkway on Loan
Oscar Halls is to join Plymouth Parkway on loan.
The 18-year-old central defender will head to Bolitho Park for a loan spell with Argyle’s city neighbours, who play their football in the Southern League Premier Division South.
Oscar was the captain of Argyle’s Under-18 side last season, and has made six appearances for the Pilgrims’ first team. They all came in last season’s EFL Trophy run, as Halls made five starts and one substitute appearance.
In his second game, playing as a wing-back, Oscar scored his first senior goal, in a 3-1 win at Swindon Town.
Halls played the whole of the second half when Argyle met Parkway two weeks ago, in a game that finished 2-0 to the Greens. He has regularly played during the current pre-season campaign, and is now set to get some game time for Lee Hobbs’ team.
“For all of our first-year pros, it is part of their pathway to go out and develop their game,” said Argyle first-team coach and head of player development Kevin Nancekivell. “Oscar will go there to play regular football at a good level, where we can observe him, and he can continue to train with us every day.
“We wish him success at Parkway, which will enhance his chances of playing in our first team in the near future. We’re delighted that he has a chance to further his development.”
