Norwich game selected as next Project 35 dedicated match
Argyle’s Sky Bet Championship match against Norwich City on Saturday, 5 April has been selected as the third dedicated fixture of the 2024/25 season for Project 35, our award winning social impact project in partnership with Ginsters.
We started our Project 35 fixtures this season with a bang against Sunderland back in September, smashing some of our previous records!
1,600 items of food and essentials were donated and a record £1,425.50 was collected by our amazing volunteers and through the dedicated JustGiving page.
We followed up this success with record donations ahead of our Sky Bet Championship fixture against Swansea City in December raising a whopping £2,380, including £230 of online donations.
Your donations and generosity help provide essential support for people facing food insecurity through our Manadon Food Larder, the wider foodbank network, and through the dedicated programme of awareness raising, social outreach, education, and charity support.
Both this season and last, your support has been incredible. For our home fixture against The Canaries we are again calling on the Green Army to support even more people in need.
We encourage supporters and members of our community to bring items of in-date, non-perishable food to Home Park.
We will be collecting items before the game from outside the Babcock Devonport End, where our pink Project 35 gazebo will be located from 12pm until kick-off. Pledge 35 volunteers, Ginsters staff, and Trust staff will be on hand to support collections and chat more about the wider aims of the project.
Community Programmes Manager Alice Young said: “We are excited to hold our latest fan appeal at Home Park and welcome donations from supporters and the community alike. We are incredibly proud and constantly blown away by the generosity of fans and the community to this vital project.
“Project 35 would not be possible without the unwavering support of partners Ginsters and the incredible hours from their staff and our amazing Pledge 35 volunteers.
“We are hopeful that we can surpass previous records at a time when many people are facing food insecurity.”
