New Evergreen Membership scheme announced
We are delighted to announce the launch of our brand-new and exciting Argyle membership scheme, the Evergreen Fans Fund.
Evergreen is a subscription Fans Fund that provides the Green Army with a full range of fantastic Argyle benefits, while supporting football operations at Home Park. Evergreen members can be the difference in our future success.
The spiritual successor to the outgoing Big Green Lottery scheme, Evergreen puts the Green Army in control of where they’d like their membership subscription to be spent – with options including First Team Operations, the Argyle Academy, and the club’s Sports Science department.
For those who would like to support more than one department, Evergreen members can split their subscription evenly across two or more areas.
The Evergreen Fans Fund was borne from supporters’ feedback towards the end of the Big Green Lottery life-cycle, with 88% of fans stating that their main motivation for subscribing to a scheme was to support the Academy, while 71% also said that they would like to receive ticket discounts/benefits as part of their membership.
With Evergreen, we can achieve both of these aims.
With a range of affordable monthly subscriptions available, Evergreen members will contribute significantly to revenue generation at Argyle, enabling us to press forward in our pursuit of becoming a sustainable Championship club.
In return, Evergreen members gain access to our best-ever range of member benefits, including replica kits with a unique Evergreen insignia, an Evergreen welcome pack, invitations to exclusive events, prize draws, an Evergreen only open training session, and large discounts on Argyle season tickets, Argyle TV subscriptions, and items from the Argyle Superstore.
Of course, we know that the reach of the global Green Army stretches far and wide, which is why we have also implemented an international membership option, weighting the benefits more practically for overseas supporters, with a greater discount on Argyle TV subscriptions, for example.
The Evergreen Fans Fund scheme already has the backing of Chairman and majority shareholder Simon Hallett, Argyle manager Steven Schumacher, and a long list of high-profile Argyle fans and lifelong members of the Green Army, including Ken Beale from the 50/50 Lottery, Ian Newell from PASOTI, and Argyle Legends’ chief Paul Hart.
Meanwhile, Argyle captain Joe Edwards, alongside Michael Cooper and Adam Randell – graduates of the Argyle Academy which stands to benefit greatly from Evergreen - have signed up to become Fans Fund Ambassadors.
Speaking on the launch of the scheme Argyle Chief Executive Officer Andrew Parkinson said: “We are delighted to be able to launch our new membership scheme today.
“Evergreen provides a great opportunity for our supporters to have a clear voice on how their membership is used to boost the club’s progress, and receive brilliant benefits and experiences in return. Having requested, and received, detailed feedback from supporters on how they would like a membership scheme to operate, we are confident that Evergreen will be a success for both the club and the Green Army.
“The launch of Evergreen is another step forward in our ambitions to become a sustainable Championship club. Your membership can be the difference in achieving that goal.”
