Mumba Nominated for PFA League One Players' Player of the Year
Bali Mumba has been nominated for the 2022/23 PFA Sky Bet League One Players' Player of the Year.
The wing-back, who spent the season on loan at Home Park, played 47 times, scoring six goals, in a year where Argyle secured a return to the Championship, winning the title with an amazing 101-point haul.
Bali has subsequently joined Argyle on a permanent basis, for a joint-record fee, to the delight of the Green Army, who quickly took the former Norwich City man to their hearts last season.
Nominated along with Bali are the two top goalscorers in the division - Jonson Clarke-Harris of Peterborough United and Ipswich Town's Conor Chaplin - as well as fellow forwards Aaron Collins of Bristol Rovers and David McGoldrick, who scored 22 goals for Derby County, and now plays for Notts County. Rounding off the six-man shortlist is playmaker Barry Bannan, of Sheffield Wednesday.
The award, voted for by fellow professionals, will be announced during the 50th annual PFA Awards night on Tuesday, 29 August.
