Miron Muslic

Miron Muslic appointed as Argyle Head Coach

Argyle can confirm Miron Muslic as the club’s new Head Coach on a three-and-a-half-year contract.

Muslic was most recently the manager of Cercle Brugge where he had an impressive record, winning 43 of his 101 games in charge as he took the Belgian side from a lowly domestic position to European football.

Highly rated throughout Europe, the 42-year-old also has a reputation for a courageous football style and developing and nurturing young players. Miron has further management experience at Austrian sides Ried and Floridsdorfer AC.

Muslic beat off competition from several high calibre candidates to become Argyle’s number one choice with the Board, and Chairman Simon Hallett is delighted to bring him to the club.

He commented: "Miron had a clear vision of how he wanted to take Argyle forward and showed a depth of tactical awareness that made it clear exactly how he wanted the team to set up and play.

“He comes with glowing reviews from his time at Cercle Brugge where he took a team from a lowly league position to European football which is no mean feat.

“I want to welcome him to the club and look forward to seeing him have an immediate impact on the team.”

Miron will be in the stands for tomorrow’s Emirates FA Cup tie against Brentford alongside Chairman Simon Hallett.

First-team coach Kevin Nancekivell will form part of Muslic’s backroom team, with further confirmation of the make-up of his staff in due course.

We will have our first chat with our new Head Coach on Monday where you can find the exclusive interview on Argyle TV, available to all.
