Lulu Jarvis signs for Argyle
Argyle Women have signed attacking midfielder Lulu Jarvis.
Jarvis joins from Women’s Super League side Brighton & Hove Albion, and she becomes Argyle’s second summer signing. She boasts experience not only with the top-level side, but with Reading in the Championship last season.
Jarvis rose through the Brighton academy, from the under-16s to the under-21s, and featured in the WSL against Tottenham Hotspur.
The 20-year-old has been training with Argyle for several weeks and has caught the eye as a trialist. She now makes the deal official with the Greens.
“I’m really excited to be here,” Jarvis told Argyle TV. “I think the club has got a big ambition and I’m excited to be a part of it.
“The environment looked nice and coming down [to train] has made me settled with the girls. I’ve enjoyed it so far. I think it’s important to be in an environment I’m comfortable in.
Argyle head north to face Manchester United Under-21s on Saturday, a test in which Jarvis is excited to taste in her first official outing as a Pilgrim.
“I’m looking forward to it,” she said. “I think it will be a really good test for the girls to see where we’re at early on in the season and also where we can go from there.”
Argyle Women’s Head Coach Ryan Perks said: “It's great to get a player of Lulu's quality over the line. She's an exciting prospect and we are so pleased to welcome her to the club.
“She will add some extra quality to the squad and I'm looking forward to working with her this season.”
The deal is subject to league approval.
