Will Jenkins Davies

Loan Watch | December 2024

Will Jenkins Davies has continued his strong scoring form in December, taking his Torquay United tally for the season to five.

The young midfielder found the net in a 2-0 win over Farnborough, and on Boxing Day in a 2-2 draw with Weymouth.

Torquay are top of the Vanarama National League South, pushing for promotion back to the fifth tier.

Will recently extended his loan spell with the high-flying Gulls to the end of the season.

There were limited minutes for Ben Waine at Mansfield Town in December.

The New Zealand international made late substitute appearances in losses to Bolton Wanderers and Huddersfield Town, and also came on at the end of a win over Rotherham United.

The Stags are 11th in Sky Bet League One.

Also in the third tier, Saxon Earley didn’t feature for Lincoln City during the month.

There was an Argyle-derby of sorts, as Jack Matthews’ Taunton Town played against Josh Bernard and Zak Baker’s Tiverton Town in the Southern Premier Division South.

It was Taunton who emerged victorious, an impressive 3-0 win on the road, as the Peacocks continued their charge up the table.

Bernard was named among the substitutes for the match, while Baker didn’t feature as he continues to recover from an injury sustained in November.

Matthews, meanwhile, played in all five December games for Taunton, losing the first two, before a run of wins over Poole Town, Tiverton, and Hungerford Town, to end 2024 in eighth.
