Kaya Gallery Sleeves for Semis

Sync Argyle fixtures to your phone

We are delighted to welcome local independent business Kaya Gallery back on our shirt sleeves for the televised Papa Johns Trophy semi-final clash with Cheltenham Town on Tuesday night.

Kaya Gallery, an art gallery based on the Barbican waterfront in Plymouth, has sponsored all but one of the Greens’ knockout fixtures in the run to the semi-final, and the club’s Commercial Sales Manager, Tom Martin, says it was Kaya Gallery’s ethos and support of Argyle’s youngsters that left him in no doubt to renew the sponsorship, despite interest from national brands.

Tom said: “We are proud to welcome Kaya Gallery back to the team for this high-profile fixture.

“Chris and the team at Kaya Gallery have been strong supporters of Argyle throughout this competition. Earlier in the tournament, the Papa Johns Trophy has provided first-team opportunities to a number of Argyle’s emerging youngsters, and it was initially that link which tempted Kaya Gallery on board.

“Now we are in the semi-final - one match from Wembley - and the Sky Sports cameras are en route, there was, of course, a lot more interest in sleeve sponsorship for this game.

“From the club’s point of view, though, it would not have been in-keeping with our Vision and Values to turn our back on Kaya Gallery, given their commitment to the run we’ve been on. We are thrilled to have agreed to a deal which will see the logo a local Plymouth business proudly adorn our kits on television screens across the nation on Tuesday night.”

Kaya Gallery’s commitment to the next generation of Argyle talent extends to the player sponsorship of rising star Caleb Roberts, who netted his first professional goal for the Greens in the 3-2 victory over Charlton Athletic earlier in the competition.

Chris Warne, owner of Kaya Gallery, said: “It is very exciting to continue on this Papa Johns journey with the club.

“Having been involved throughout this remarkable run, I felt very strongly that I wanted to see the job through to Wembley. We are proud to be associated with the club at such an exciting time, and it would be a real highlight for all of us to play our part in the club hopefully making history on Tuesday night.”
