Joe Edwards named CT1 October Player of the Month
Joe Edwards has been voted as Argyle’s CT1 Player of the Month for October.
The Pilgrims' captain featured in four out of five games in the month, his first of which was the memorable late win over Blackburn Rovers at Home Park.
Joe makes it back-to-back wins, after picking up the Player of the Month award for September as well, and has been one of Argyle's standout players of the campaign so far.
The defender won the supporters’ poll with 32% of the vote, ahead of Lewis Gibson (30%), Dan Grimshaw (22%) and Adam Randell (16%).
Joe recently had an operation on an injury picked up against Preston North End at the end of October, which is expected to keep him sidelined until the New Year.
Speaking after his surgery, Joe said: “Thank you for voting me as Player of the Month. It means a lot to me, especially being at home recovering from my operation.
“I can't wait to get back in with the boys soon. I watched the game last night [against Portsmouth] and it was a fantastic win. Hopefully, it's something we can build on now."
