Hazard and Issaka Receive International Call-ups
Freddie Issaka has been called up to play for the Wales Under-19 squad.
Having gained experience with his national side’s Under-17s, and having signed a professional deal at Home Park, Freddie will now step up as Wales take on Finland in two encounters next weekend.
The sides will meet at the Jari Litmanen Arena, in Helsinki, on Friday, 8 September and Monday, 11 September.
Argyle first-team coach and Head of Player Development Kevin Nancekivell said: “We’re always pleased when any of our players gets international recognition. Freddie has been playing regularly for the Under-17s. This is a step up for him, but he has coped superbly every time something more has been asked if him, and I’m sure he’ll relish this new challenge.”
Freddie’s call-up follows the news that first-team goalkeeper Conor Hazard will be in the Northern Ireland squad for a qualifier with Slovenia (Thursday, 7 September) and a friendly against Kazakhstan (Sunday, 10 September)
Good luck, Freddie and Conor!
