Hardie Wins February Player of the Month
The Green Army has named Ryan Hardie as the Player of the Month for February.
Argyle’s top goalscorer scored three times in the month to take his total for the season to 15 so far.
His first two efforts came in similar circumstances. Argyle were 2-1 up against Portsmouth at Home Park, and away at Oxford United, when Hardie struck late goals in each to seal precious victories.
In the Papa Johns Trophy semi-final, Argyle trailed Cheltenham 1-0 until Hardie, on as a substitute, scored a stunning equalising goal. He also scored a penalty in the subsequent shoot-out as the Pilgrims clinched a spot at Wembley in April.
In the poll conducted on the Argyle Twitter account, Hardie pulled 42.5% of the vote, ahead of Macaulay Gillesphey, Sam Cosgrove and Matt Butcher.
"I'm buzzing about winning the award," said Hardie. "I managed to get a few important goals this month, and hopefully in the months to come I will score a few more that help us achieve the goal we all want."
