Gibson Wins November Player of the Month

Lewis Gibson has won the CT1 Argyle Player of the Month award for November. 

Lewis won the fans' poll with 40.3% of the total vote. Morgan Whittaker, who was named Player of the Month for September and October, was second, ahead of Finn Azaz and Luke Cundle. 

Gibson, who signed for free in the summer after leaving Everton, has been consistent all season, but particularly caught the eye with an imperious display, helping the Greens to a clean sheet in a 2-0 win over Sunderland last Saturday. 

“It's a great thing to achieve," said Gibson. "To be recognised for the form that you’ve been in and the work you’ve put in.

“Sunderland was obviously a highlight. To win 2-0, keep a clean sheet at home, and put in a few blocks here and there, it was a good day.

“I want to win more games and keep more clean sheets, so that's the aim for December.

“A big thank you to everyone who voted, and to the Green Army for all the support given to the team.”
