FA Youth Cup fixture postponed

Wednesday night's FA Youth Cup first round tie against Cheltenham Town has been abandoned.

The fixture kicked off, but was abruptly halted in the third minute by referee Mark King, who considered the match unsafe to play following torrential downpours that left the ball holding up on the drenched surface. 

A short discussion with both sets of coaching staff followed, before Darren Way's under-18 side headed across to the Lyndhurst Stand to applaud the hundreds of hardy supporters who turned out to support the next generation of Argyle talent.

Supporters are advised to retain their tickets as all will be valid for the rescheduled fixture. The new date will be communicated to supporters in due course.
