Extra Cheltenham Town Tickets
Due to the incredible demand for this weekend’s Sky Bet League One tie against Cheltenham Town at Home Park, we are pleased to confirm that a further 600 tickets will go on sale to home supporters in block 21 of the Kawasaki Barn Park End from 12pm on Tuesday.
While we are generally limited in our ability to offer extra tickets in the home section, this has been made possible for the visit of the Robins as a result of Cheltenham’s decision not to take up their full allocation of seats, as well as the extraordinarily early sell-out in the home sections.
As explained throughout the season, the lack of facilities in the partitioned area underneath the Kawasaki Barn Park End, rather than the segregation line between home and away seating, is the primary challenge for extending home support when visiting teams do not take up their full allocation.
Given the tremendous demand for tickets, with tickets selling out a week before the fixture, we have been able to secure temporary catering and bathroom facilities, which will be installed just outside the stadium for home supporters for this weekend - ensuring that both home and away supporters housed in the Kawasaki Barn Park End have access to appropriate match-day amenities.
Of course, this is not our ideal solution, and the club continues to work on a plan for the medium and long term to ensure that we are able to house as many members of the Green Army as possible at Home Park. In the interim, we ask that supporters are understanding of the lack of permanent facilities in this area - and thank you for your patience.
The release of these additional seats will likely bring the home capacity beyond the 16,000 mark for this weekend, plus away support. For clarity, we remain duty-bound by EFL rules to provide up to 10% of our stadium capacity to away supporters, should visiting clubs wish to take up a full allocation.
