Evergreen USA update
Two Evergreen members and their guests will be travelling to the USA for an incredible trip of a lifetime.
Our lucky winners will be given the opportunity to meet Argyle chairman Simon Hallett on the East Coast of America, before having free time to potentially explore the great cities of New York, Washington DC and Philadelphia, as well as a taste of rural America.
As part of this wonderful prize, the winners will have the costs of their flights and accommodation covered by Evergreen, plus £500 spending money for the two winning members, and a chance to join the chairman at a top American sports game.
“I am delighted to be welcoming two Evergreen members and their guests to the USA,” said Simon. “I live in a small town close to Philadelphia, a beautiful place and fantastic countryside near the New Jersey border.
“When the winners are drawn, we will be in contact with them to work out the finer details, but there will be an option to fly into New York, Washington or Philadelphia.
“As a sports fan, hopefully one of the key attractions to this prize is the opportunity to watch a top American sports fixture and within 90 minutes of my home, we have all the great teams of New York, such as the Nicks, the Giants, the Jets and the Yankees.
“Philadelphia is also a fantastic sporting city, so, depending on the time of year our winners are available to visit, there will be the choice of basketball, baseball, NFL and ice hockey.
“Away from the sporting sphere, Philadelphia is the eighth largest city in America. The shopping and restaurant scene is fantastic, and Philadelphia is also a city blessed with rich history. It has the building in which the Constitution was written, the Liberty Bell and a superb art museum.
“We all know the incredible sights in New York and Washington DC, so our winners will get the choice of how they wish to spend their four days in the States, as the experience of small-town America is just as fascinating.
“If the Argyle schedule allows, we could also meet up with other fans based in the States to watch a game together.
“I am sure the winners will have a wonderful time and thank-you to all those who have signed up for Evergreen, you really are making the difference.”
Given the further details from Simon and the magnitude of this prize, we have now set a final deadline of Tuesday, 1 August, so now is the time to sign up for Evergreen to be included in the draw.
However, the prize draw tombola has been spinning for one lucky Evergreen members and their guest to join us at Home Park for the full match-day hospitality experience at an Argyle game this season.
