Evergreen May Update
Evergreen May Update
Evergreen is ending the current football season in similar triumphant fashion to the Argyle first team, as we celebrate passing an incredible 2,500 members, and the number is growing every single day.
Thank you to everyone for your support of Evergreen.
Evergreen Survey
We had a superb 938 responses to the recent Evergreen Survey, which provides fantastic feedback on how we can develop Evergreen for the future.
As part of the survey, we requested questions to be sent over for the Evergreen team. We are now in the process of collating these questions and will select the most common themes for a video forum in June.
We will provide full details on results in due course.
Season Tickets
One of the major benefits to Evergreen membership is a discount on your season ticket and we can confirm that this discount will be eligible on the early bird price, once season tickets go on sale. The discount will be available to all Evergreen members who were also season-ticket holders in the 2022/23 season.
Evergreen members who are not currently season-ticket holders, but signed up to Evergreen before the deadline of 15 March, will be eligible to apply for a season-ticket for the 2023/24 season. These members will also be eligible for the Evergreen discount on season tickets.
Ticket Priority
Following the decision to end the flexi ticket scheme for next season, Evergreen members will now be second only to season-ticket holders when it comes to priority windows for the purchase of individual match tickets.
Football Operations
Evergreen members have already made a significant impact on football operations at Home Park, with 47% of Evergreen funding directed to the Academy, 32% for the first-team, and 21% for sports science.
So far, Evergreen has supported Academy trips to play fixtures at Arsenal and Chelsea; funded the U18s for an overnight stay at Luton Town for an important Merit League fixture; and will play a major financial role in the July SuperCupNI tournament in Northern Ireland.
From a first-team and sports science perspective, Evergreen enabled the club to extend the lease of a Cryochamber, which proved a vital component in aiding recovery and overall fitness for the players in the climax to a gruelling season.
The fitness and intensity demonstrated by the Argyle squad over these decisive weeks of the Sky Bet League One season has been incredible, and Evergreen members have helped make this possible. You have genuinely helped to ‘Be the Difference’ in our promotion to the Sky Bet Championship – thank you.
The Evergreen team will be spending more time with the Academy, the sports science department and Director of Football Neil Dewsnip in the close season to see how our members can directly support football operations for the Championship campaign.
Evergreen Custodian
One of the major summer ambitions for Evergreen is to appoint an independent custodian, who will provide a direct link between Evergreen members and the club, overseeing how funds are spent and how Evergreen can support football operations.
More details will be announced on the Evergreen custodian in the summer, including a person specification, a role description and how to nominate someone for the position.
Souvenir Packs
We have now received all but two of the components required for the Evergreen Souvenir Packs and expect these final pieces to the jigsaw to arrive in the week beginning 15 May. As soon as they arrive, information will be sent to members on how you can collect your souvenir pack, or to select a postal option.
Those who signed up first for Evergreen will be given first access to the souvenir packs and we will then move through the membership month-by-month. Members who signed up in December will be in the first wave, followed by January, February and so on.
The incredible response to Evergreen, over 2,500 members in just over five months, has made the collation of souvenir packs a significant task for Team Evergreen and we are extremely grateful to members for your patience.
Wall of Honour
The Evergreen Wall of Honour will be a permanent Home Park landmark, dedicated to those who have signed up for Evergreen and helped to ‘Be the Difference’ in a wonderful era for our football club.
Information on the construction of the Wall of Honour and a precise location to be confirmed as soon as possible.
Framed Poster
We have received around 40% of pictures from Evergreen members for the framed poster. Please can members send these to evergreen@pafc.co.uk. It would be great if your picture has an Argyle theme, such as wearing a club shirt, at Home Park or while attending an Argyle game.
The framed posters will be collated over the next couple of months and, like the souvenir packs, will be distributed in order of sign-up dates. We will provide a link for members in due course, so you can select a preferred date and time for collection, or a postal option.
Prize Draws
To date, the Evergreen prize draws have focused on signed merchandise for members. All draws are conducted using independent randomiser software, ensuring fairness for all members. One important reminder for prize draws is that Premium and International members are entered twice, in recognition of their extra financial outlay.
We are now thrilled to announce that an Evergreen Legends BBQ will be held at Home Park on Sunday, 16 July. Specific times will be revealed shortly but the idea is for an afternoon BBQ, hopefully with the sun shining!
The Evergreen Legends BBQ will be an opportunity for members to spend time with some Argyle legends from the past, with those in attendance offered the chance to submit questions and to enjoy the best in Home Park hospitality.
Ten lucky Evergreen members, plus one guest each, will be drawn at random for free admission to the BBQ. We will then have a sales window for Evergreen members only to attend for just £15 per person before these go on general sale.
Confirmation on the legends attending and sale dates will be announced shortly.
When the squad return for pre-season training, Evergreen members will be entered into a number of player-related draws, such as an exclusive training session, and unique experiences that money cannot buy.
This summer will also bring the draw for the amazing trip to the USA as a guest of Argyle chairman Simon Hallett to watch a top-level American sports match. Flights and accommodation will be included, plus £500 spending money.
