Dan Scarr leaves Argyle
Dan Scarr has joined Wrexham for an undisclosed fee.
Argyle have accepted a bid for the central defender, and he has agreed terms with the Sky Bet League One side, who were recently promoted for a second successive season.
Scarr signed for the Pilgrims in August of 2021, and instantly became a fans’ favourite with his committed performances at the heart of the defence.
Now 29, Scarr was well into his 20s before he became a full-time footballer, joining his boyhood side Birmingham City, from non-league Stourbridge. After a loan spell with Wycombe Wanderers, Scarr joined Walsall, from whom he moved on to Argyle.
He made 109 appearances for the Pilgrims, 36 of which came in the glorious, promotion-winning season of 2022/23. Dan will always be remembered as a hero of that season, as well as for his huge contributions when it mattered last season, with the Greens holding on to Sky Bet Championship status.
Good luck, Dan.
