Charlotte Whitmore named Women's POTM for September

Charlotte Whitmore has been voted Argyle Women’s Player of the Month for September.

In a month with five fixtures, including three FA Women’s National League Southern Premier Division ties and two Cup wins, the forward netted four goals in all competitions.

Whitmore’s goals against MK Dons, London Bees, and Maidenhead United helped secure victory for the Greens.

Charlotte won the supporters’ vote with 42% of the poll, ahead of Ella Stephens (35%), Georgia Wilson (12%) and Katie Dickson (12%).

“I’m absolutely buzzing,” said Charlotte. “It reflects us as a team and not just me. We’ve worked really hard and it’s obviously really nice to win the award from the fan’s votes.

“I’m delighted to get on the scoresheet in multiple games, but the main thing is we’ve been able to turn strong performances into some good results.”
