Chairman Visits Babcock's Devonport Facility
Following the recent announcement about Argyle's exciting Community Connection Partnership with Babcock, the Devonport facility of the international defence company kindly hosted Chairman Simon Hallett for a site visit.
During his visit, Simon was given a tour of the site and presented a signed framed Argyle shirt as a gesture of the club's thanks for the continued hard work of Babcock employees, and for all they do to help keep our nation safe. Simon also boarded one of the frigates to hear more from the team about the important work they carry out on Royal Navy vessels.
To end Simon’s tour and cement the partnership, David Tytherleigh, from Babcock’s Leadership Team at Devonport, presented him with a submarine trophy, and said: “It has been a pleasure welcoming Simon to the site and showing him what we do at Devonport.”
“Bringing together two of Plymouth’s biggest organisations with this partnership will make a really positive difference to the local community.”
Simon Hallett echoed David’s comments, and added: “At Argyle, we're delighted about joining with Babcock to launch this important partnership. We are totally committed to supporting the local community and look forward to delivering more great work with Babcock, building on the successful events we’ve already held, like Armed Services Day.”
