Camara Joins Ipswich Town
Panutche Camara has signed for Ipswich Town on a permanent deal, for an undisclosed fee.
The Guinea-Bissau international midfielder departs having played 95 times in two seasons at Home Park.
Pan, 25, signed for Argyle from Crawley Town in the summer of 2020, and quickly became a fan favourite at Home Park with all action displays in the centre of midfield.
He scored 10 goals in his time as a Pilgrim; five in each season. Four of those goals came in cup competitions, including two in Argyle’s Emirates FA Cup campaign of 2020/21. He scored three of his goals against Oxford United, including a memorable double in a 3-1 away victory last season.
Whilst a Pilgrim, he gained international recognition, getting his first call up for Guinea-Bissau, then quickly being named in the country’s Africa Cup of Nations squad. He played fixtures against Sudan, Egypt and Nigeria, and scored his first international goal in a friendly against Equatorial Guinea in March.
He will be best remembered by the Green Army for his inspirational performances for The Pilgrims, possessing an ability to break up attacks and stride forward, with a seemingly endless well of energy.
Thank you Pan, for your contributions at Argyle, and we wish you all the best.
