Ben Waine joins Mansfield on loan

Ben Waine has joined Mansfield Town on loan for the rest of the season.

The 23-year-old forward is heading to Nigel Clough’s Sky Bet League One side, who have started their season with a win, a draw and a defeat, following their promotion last season.

New Zealand international Waine signed for Argyle in January 2023, and has made 48 appearances for Argyle, 14 of them starts, scoring seven goals, including the opener in Argyle’s Carabao Cup round one win this season, against Cheltenham Town.

Waine has signed in time to be part of Mansfield’s home game against Stockport County on Saturday.
