Argyle hit the road again for a second successive away game after Boxing Day's draw in Cardiff.

Southampton are the hosts this time, with Argyle looking for a first away win of the season. They head to a side in great form with Russel Martin's team on a 16 game unbeaten run.

Argyle TV

Supporters unable to attend Friday evening's Sky Bet Championship fixture against Southampton can now purchase their audio match pass for the clash at St. Mary's.

With the match being screened live on Sky Sports and various other international broadcasters, video streaming for this fixture is prohibited in a number of territories, as such, other than for the countries listed below, audio match passes are the only way to follow every kick of the action without being at the game – and the passes cost just £2.50.

Audio match passes can also be purchased for this fixture by overseas Pilgrims, enabling supporters to follow the action wherever you are in the world, and whatever you are doing.

International video match passes are available in the following 'dark market' countries and other selected international realms, where the game is not being broadcast live on TV.

For avoidance of doubt the overseas territories where Argyle TV Video match passes will be available for the Southampton fixture are as follows:

Build-up to the match begins at 5pm with our pre-match show hosted by Charlie Price who will be joined by Brain McGlinchey.

By Car

Southampton advise visiting fans not to travel by car into the surrounding areas of Southampton and due to parking restrictions on a matchday, they recommend making use of public transport wherever possible.

However, if you do choose to drive to St Mary’s Stadium you can make use of a local City Council car parks:

  1. Westquay Shopping Centre – SO15 1ST
  2. Ocean Village – SO14 3TL
  3. Bedford Place – SO15 2DB
  4. Grosvenor Square – SO15 2UA
  5. West Park Road – SO15 1FZ
  6. Marlands – SO15 1BA
  7. Eastgate – SO14 3HB

By Train

Southampton is served by Southampton Central Railway Station, which is approximately a mile from the stadium – roughly a 20-minute walk.

By Bus

To get to St Mary's Stadium, hop on the Bluestar 3Bluestar 16, or Bluestar 18 which stops on Britannia Road, a short walk from the stadium. You can also catch the Bluestar 7, stopping at City College, which is also a short walk from the stadium.

By Coach or minibus

There's free parking for visiting supporters who are travelling either by official supporters coaches, private coaches or minibus on Britannia Road. Britannia Road is restricted by a road closure 1 hour and 30 minutes before kick-off but you can still gain access to this area.

By Bike or Motorbike

Cycling is a quick and reliable way to get around Southampton on matchdays. Most of the city is less than a 20-minute ride from St Mary’s Stadium. For some, arriving by motorcycle is also a good option. The football club has FREE parking facilities at the stadium. The motorcycle bays can be found alongside the bikesheds at the North end of the Kingsland Stand which can be found at the rear of the stadium. Please park in the Motorcycle bays provided and not in the bikeshed.

Please note, if you're traveling by motorcycle you should enter via the stadium’s North Car Park only and liaise with security on entry. Due to the volume of spectators around the stadium, we ask that you walk your motorcycle in. Road closures will be in place from 90 minutes before kick-off so entry after this time will be denied. These closures will remain in place until about 20-minutes after the final whistle.

Parking

There's no general admission parking onsite at St. Mary's. However, there are plenty of car parking options nearby - find the best one for you via the following link:

Drop Off and Pick Up Area

A “drop off and pick-up area” is available for fans. This is found outside the Main Reception area, next to the Ted Bates statue. Access is via Chapel Road and Granville Street to the south of the stadium.

This is available for vehicles for set down and pick up purposes. However, please note that due to road closures, this area will be busy on matchdays.

Please be aware that any vehicles parking in this area are likely to be towed away. If you need assistance getting from the drop off area to your entrance or seat whilst your enabler parks, please do let us know by contacting our Accessibility Team on 02380 711 980 or by email: accessibility@saintsfc.co.uk.

The nearest car parks are Bond Street (SO14 5QA) with two disabled bays and Crosshouse Road (SO14 5GZ) with two disabled bays. There are also some accessible parking bays along Rochester Street but these fill up very quickly on matchdays.

Tickets

Tickets for our trip to Southampton have sold out. 

Any tickets not collected will be sent to Southampton for collection on the day from Ticket Office 3. This will open from 3pm on match day. 

If you have paid for postage and tickets have not arrived, please either call 01752 907700 or email tickets@pafc.co.uk, by 4pm on Thursday, 28 December for us to be able to arrange duplicates for collection. These can then be collected on the day from Ticket Office 3 at St Mary's from 3pm. 

Accessibility

Accessible Entrances

There is an accessible entrance at all turnstiles, which will have Accessibility Stewards positioned on.

Audio description

Southampton do provide an audio description service. If you would like to use this service, please email accessibility@saintsfc.co.uk or call 02380 711 980.

Hearing loops are also available and are fitted in the Southampton Ticket Office, Club Shop, Reception, and catering units.

Accessible toilets

Accessible toilets are found next to every ground floor vomitory in the stadium. Most require RADAR keys to access, please ask a steward for assistance if you do not have your own.

Changing Places facilities are also available in the stadium. Southampton recommend reaching out to them in advance on accessibility@saintsfc.co.uk or by calling 02380 711 980, if these are facilities you are interested in using.

Assistance dogs

Southampton have specific areas for assistance dogs and request that you contact them before visiting St Mary’s. Please email on accessibility@saintsfc.co.uk or call 02380 711 980.

Club Shop

You'll find the Saints Store on the south corner of the Itchen Stand.

On midweek matchdays the store is open from 10am until kick off and then again at full time.

Match Programmes

Programmes are available to purchase from dedicated stands dotted around the footprint of the stadium, within the concourses, in the Saints Store or online.

Turnstiles

Turnstiles will open approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes before kick-off. 

Incident Reporting

On the day, please report any incidents or poor behaviour to a steward, who will take appropriate action. Alternatively, please text ‘SFCReport’ to 60060 with a description and location of the incident, at the time of the incident.

Ground Regulations

The following articles must not be brought within the ground:

  • Knives
  • Fireworks
  • Smoke canisters
  • Air horns
  • Flares
  • Weapons
  • Dangerous or hazardous items
  • Laser devices
  • Bottles
  • Glass vessels
  • Cans
  • Poles
  • and any article that might be used as a weapon and/or compromise public safety.

Any persons in possession of such items will be refused entry into the ground.

Plastic bottles are permitted into the stadium, however bottle lids must be removed before entry.

Small bags can be brought in, subject to a security search, and stored under your seat providing they do not cause an obstruction or trip hazard.
