Hillsborough is situated three miles north of the city centre, but visitors are advised to avoid this route and approach the ground from the north instead. Parking is possible in the area just north of Hillsborough.

By car

From The North/South/East - Exit the M1 at junction 36 and follow the A61 towards Sheffield. Continue along the road for approximately four miles until you go past Sainsburys Supermarket. Turn right (Leppings Lane) - the ground is situated on the left-hand side.

From The South/East (non matchdays only) - Leave the M1 at junction 33 and turn left towards Sheffield City Centre on the 'Sheffield Parkway' dual carriageway. Continue until the traffic lights (Cutlers Gate) and turn right on to Derek Dooley way and follow signs for the A61 towards Barnsley. Signs for Hillsborough are also prominent. The stadium is situated three miles from the city centre and is on your left-hand side after Hillsborough Park.

From the West - Take the A57 for Sheffield. As you approach the city the road splits in two - take the left fork onto the Rivelin Valley Road (A6101). Continue for approximately 3.75 miles, turn left (onto one way system) and follow the road round to the right onto Holme Lane. This road then becomes Bradfield Road. At the junction with the A61 Penistone Road, turn left towards Barnsley. Hillsborough Stadium is on the left-hand side after Hillsborough Park.

By train

Sheffield Railway Station (Contact Midland Mainline on 08457 221 125) is situated in the town centre, three miles from the ground.

By supertram

Take the South Yorkshire Supertram (signposted from the Railway Station) towards Middlewood Road (yellow route). Exit at the Leppings Lane stop, which is a short walk from the ground.

By bus

From the Railway Station, Flat Street Bus Terminus is a one-minute walk - cross over at the pedestrian crossing, and follow the signs. Bus numbers 53, 77 and 80 all run from Flat Street to Hillsborough.

From Angel Street, buses 74 and 74a run to Hillsborough.

From Snig Hill, buses 85 and 86 run to Leppings Lane.

From the Sheffield Transport Interchange, bus 57 runs past the ground towards Stocksbridge.

On matchdays, bus frequency should be roughly every 15 minutes.

Parking

There is limited parking available on matchday due to the residential nature of Hillsborough, with parking at the stadium permitted for permit holders only. Designated council car parking is available in the locality for a regular charge.

To be mindful of our local residents we suggest supporters avoid parking on surrounding streets if possible. There are also parking restrictions around the stadium and it may be more convenient to use the number of council-run or independent car parks, which do charge a fee.

Disabled supporters have the opportunity to purchase a matchday parking permit within Hillsborough Park, situated directly opposite the stadium. Permits are priced at £5 and can be purchased from the Ticket Office, but supporters should be advised of their limited availability.

Tickets sold out

Please note this game is All Ticket and there will be none available on the day. Please do not travel, if you do not have a ticket.

Tickets will be available for collection from the Home Park Ticket Office until 3pm on Thursday 2 February. After this, any uncollected tickets will be available from Sheffield Wednesday’s Ticket Office on the day, from 9am until 90 mins prior to kick off. After this time tickets for the West Stand will be available to collect from Gate 6 (situated on the corner of the South and West Stand).The Ticket Office is located within the Owls Megastore located in the North Stand car park (entry off Penistone Road).

Transfers from the Upper Tier to the Lower Tier will not be available under any circumstances.

Miles Away Travel Club

We have five coaches travelling to this game, with a 6.30am departure from Home Park. All coaches are now full.

Sheffield Wednesday Megastore

The Megastore offers a variety of official SWFC merchandise, from pocket money items to hats and scarves, leisure wear and replica kits.

On Saturday matchdays the Ticket Office and Megastore close at kick-off and reopen for 45 minutes after the final whistle.

Match programmes

Programmes will be available to purchase from various locations/sellers around the ground on matchdays as well as from the Owls Megastore, at a price of £3.

Food and Drink

A range of food and drink is available in the ground within the concourses on all stands.

Lindley Catering are Sheffield Wednesday's official Catering Partners and there are numerous options dining and drinking for supporters to enjoy during the build up to the game.

Away Stand

Visiting supporters will enjoy the game from the West Stand, situated behind the goal on the Leppings Lane side of the ground.

Turnstiles

Gates open at 1:30pm for entry into the stadium.

Cash machines

There are no cash machines within the stadium. The nearest cash point is at the BP Petrol Station which is about a five minute walk from Hillsborough. Please be aware that this machine does charge a fee for withdrawals.

There are disabled toilets situated around the stadium. RADAR keys are needed to access some toilets.

Radio Commentary for Visually Impaired Supporters

There are 30 radio headsets available allowing the visually impaired to receive hospital radio commentary from any point in the stadium. Headsets must be collected from the club’s Main Reception in the South Stand for home fans and stewards at Gate 6 for away fans and must be returned to the same place after the match. These are available on a first come, first served basis with a minimum of three headsets reserved for away fans.

Matchday Car Parking

We have a limited amount of matchday parking available for our disabled supporters priced at £5.00 per space. These can be booked through the Ticket Office on 03700 201867, payment is required upon booking and spaces are available on a first come, first served basis.

Reporting

Supporters can report any incident of racist or anti-social behaviour, or areas of the ground which they feel needs attention from the cleaning team, by calling 07963 138580 on a match day.

Flag/banner procedure

All flags and banners must be approved and certified by the club. Approval for a flag or banner that has not been previously certified by the club must be sought at least 24 hours prior to the fixture. No sticks or poles will be allowed in the stadium. Flags or banners must not be torn, damaged or frayed. Flags must be displayed in accordance with the requirements of the club. Flags must not carry any extreme or inflammatory wording or motifs. Visiting fans intending to bring flags or banners into the ground must contact the Safety Officer in advance and a flame retardance certificate will be required.

Prohibited items

The following articles must not be brought within the Ground - knives, fireworks, smoke canisters, air-horns, flares, weapons, dangerous or hazardous items, laser devices, bottles, glass vessels, cans, poles and any article that might be used as a weapon and/or compromise public safety. Any person in possession of such items will be refused entry to the Ground.

Football League stadia are smoke-free and smoking is not permitted inside the Ground. E-cigarettes are not permitted. 

Search policy

All persons seeking entrance to the Ground acknowledge the Club's right to search any person entering the Ground and to refuse entry to or eject from the Ground any person refusing to submit to such a search.
