Argyle Women to face Exeter in Devon Challenge Cup this Wednesday

On Wednesday, 2 April, Argyle will face Exeter City in the Devon FA Women’s Challenge Cup Final at Coach Road.

The game, kicking off at 7.15pm in Newton Abbot, is a new competition that is taking place as part of the County Cup restructure by the Devon FA.

To be eligible, clubs must compete in the FA Women’s National League Division One South or above, meaning that the Greens and Grecians are the only possible teams to feature in the inaugural edition of the cup.

In the final of the A&S Interiors Devon Women’s Premier County Cup last season, Argyle lost 2-1 to Exeter, with two goals from the Grecians cancelling out Ellie Sara’s 70th-minute penalty.

Tickets
Tickets for the match cost £5 and £3 for concessions. Tickets will be available on entry.

Parking
There is parking at The County Ground in the Teignbridge Council pay and display car park. You will need a contactless method of paying as the payment terminals do not accept cash. Please note, there are now double yellow lines on Coach Road so street parking is no longer available on this stretch of road.

We also have limited bike racks available for you to store your bikes but you will need to bring a padlock.

Public Transport
Newton Abbot train station is a 14-minute walk on a relatively flat landscape. Services regularly stop here from Exeter, Plymouth and Torquay directions.

The closest bus stop is Penn Inn Roundabout, which is an 18 minute walk.
