Argyle Women Christmas Cracker
The Argyle Women first team squad and staff were in attendance at Manadon Sports Hub recently, inspiring Plymouth youngsters in Argyle Community Trust's annual Christmas Cracker event.
The event was a milestone occasion, being the first time the Women’s team has been involved at a Christmas Cracker Roadshow. The evening's entertainment was extremely well attended, with 154 young boys and girls experiencing the wonder of playing football alongside their heroes at the Trust’s flagship facility.
The family event is a highlight of the calendar, and the players and coaching staff, including Manager Ryan Perks, took no persuasion to get involved in the small sided games on the Manadon Astro pitches with parents proudly watching on from the sidelines.
Participants were invited into the Manadon Sports Hub function room for a special meet and greet with the squad, who provided signed autographs and posed for photos.
Manager Ryan Perks said: “I am delighted to have the girls involved in the first ever Christmas Cracker Roadshow. The club and Trust are passionate about the women’s game and with the growth of the sport, especially since the success of the Lionesses at the recent Euro’s, it is great to see Argyle Women inspiring the next generation.”
