Argyle TV: What's On This Week
The content on Argyle TV is flowing like Christmas spirits, as we count down to the festive period with another bumper week of news, views, and behind the scenes features.
Matchday Moments and Tunnel Cam provide another look back at Saturday’s triumph over Morecambe, where the Green Army waited patiently – first as the ground staff ensured the surface was playable, and second as Argyle laid siege to the Shrimps goal.
On Tuesday, we turn our focus to the rearranged Papa Johns Trophy round of 16 tie against AFC Wimbledon. First-Team Coach Kevin Nancekivell previews the rearranged tie against the Dons, which kicks off at 7pm on Wednesday.
On Tuesday evening, 21/22 Player of the Season Mike Cooper shares his story so far, talking us through his promising career to date, including an incredible professional debut at Ewood Park just six days after his 18th birthday.
On Wednesday afternoon, we get firmly into the festive spirit, enjoying heart-warming coverage of of the Greens’ annual visit to Derriford hospital, where members of Argyle’s men’s and women’s team visited the Children’s wards to deliver gifts, take photos, and spread some goodwill.
At 6pm, the pre-match show for Papa Johns Trophy action begins, live and free on the club’s YouTube channel. Erin Black hosts build up alongside former Pilgrim and Premier League defender Marc Edworthy. The fixture is available to stream live and worldwide on Argyle TV. Click here to purchase your pass.
Argyle TV subscribers have access to manager Steven Schumacher’s post-match reaction first, as well as from selected players in action on Wednesday night. The full match replay and extended highlights will also be available from the early hours of Thursday morning.
With no league fixture until next Monday’s Boxing Day trip to Cheltenham Town, Thursday’s regular pre-match press call has shifted to Friday, but we’ll still get some insight from the dressing room – and who better than captain Joe Edwards to share his thoughts on the season so far?
Manager Steven Schumacher and defender Dan Scarr, who returned to the starting XI in the victory over Morecambe, will face the cameras on Friday morning, discussing the Boxing Day clash at the Completely-Suzuki Stadium.
On Saturday, Christmas Eve, cultured midfielder Jordan Houghton brings the gifts one day early, talking us through his five-a-side selection, made up exclusively of players he’s shared a dressing room with. Having enjoyed a footballing education at Chelsea’s Cobham base, we can expect the standard to be extremely high.
On Christmas Day, Argyle TV will air the players’ annual Christmas message.
In the spirit of giving, a number of the most popular Argyle TV features from the past 12 months will be available for a limited time to supporters who do not have an active subscription. Please keep an eye out on social media for when these features drop. Merry Christmas, Green Army.
There has never been a better time to sign up to Argyle TV, for as little as £4.50 per month, and enjoy the raft of features and new content being produced daily at Home Park.
