Argyle TV Update
We would like to issue a wholehearted and unreserved apology for the technical problems which affected supporters’ ability to stream Argyle TV coverage of our 3-1 Papa Johns Trophy victory over Swindon Town at The County Ground.
A fibre issue impacted our ability to broadcast the opening stages of the Group E encounter, in which Academy graduates Will Jenkins Davies and Oscar Halls netted their first senior goals, while Ryan Hardie found the scoresheet one again.
Upon identifying the fault, our broadcast team worked swiftly to implement an alternative solution for the match, which saw picture broadcast restored with a little over 10 minutes played and the scores at 0-0 - but this came without commentary and the in-house production associated with Argyle TV.
In addition, a small number of audio only subscribers were unable to access anything other than ambient sound from The County Ground. Repeated attempts were made to work around the fault to connect commentary to Argyle TV – both video and audio products – but they were unsuccessful, and risked destabilising the video product.
As a matter of course, all audio subscribers have been refunded their match pass fee, and we once again apologise for the inconvenience caused. Supporters who purchased video passes for the fixture are encouraged to email argyletv@pafc.co.uk for their refund options, which includes a match voucher for the Greens’ final Group E match against Crystal Palace under-21s.
We thank all supporters for their understanding and patience.
