Argyle Scoop Social Responsibility Award
The club's latest award did not have to travel far to its display cabinet, as Argyle scooped the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) honour at the Plymouth Live 2022 Business Awards held at Home Park Stadium on Thursday evening.
Argyle's commitment to supporting the region alongside the club's charity partner, the Argyle Community Trust, was recognised with the top honour at the awards, edging out competition from worthy finalists Peninsula Dental Social Enterprise CIC and Sir Fix-a-lock Ltd.
It is the second Corporate Social Responsibility award claimed by Argyle in the past year, with the club also winning in the Western Morning News Business Awards CSR category in 2021, and the Sustainability & Community category of the Stadium Business Awards.
On Thursday night, Argyle also received a commendation for our growing Green credentials, finishing runner up to the University of Plymouth in the Environmental Success Award category.
Argyle Chief Executive Officer, and Argyle Community Trust Trustee, Andrew Parkinson said: "We are honoured to have received the Corporate Social Responsibility award this year - our thanks to everyone on the Plymouth Live judging panel who selected us.
"The community is at the heart of Argyle, and it's great to be recognised alongside our tireless colleagues at the Argyle Community Trust. More importantly, it's been wonderful for the club to host such an uplifting event at Home Park, and we congratulate every finalist for their great work across our city."
