Argyle players receive October international call-ups
Kornel Szucs could earn his first senior cap for Hungary during the upcoming October internationals.
The Argyle defender, who signed in the summer from Kecskeméti, has earned a call-up after a string of impressive performances at the start of the Sky Bet Championship season.
Szucs, 23, has made several appearances for Hungary at youth level, but never for the senior side. He now joins up ahead of their UEFA Nations League A matches against the Netherlands and Bosnia & Herzegovina.
Hungary earned one point from their first two matches in the competition, via a draw with Bosnia. Their next meeting, in Zenica, could prove pivotal in the battle against relegation from League A.
Victor Palsson is in League B action, for Iceland, against Wales and Turkey.
The defender scored last time out against Turkey, in an eventual 3-1 loss. A 2-0 win over Montenegro in their first match means Iceland sit third in their group.
Brendan Galloway’s Zimbabwe are back in Africa Cup of Nations qualifying action, looking to add to their two points picked up in the last international window.
A pair of goalless draws, against Kenya and Cameroon, means The Warriors are third in their group, with the top two qualifying for the 2025 tournament.
Galloway has been called up for a double header against Namibia, who lost their opening two matches.
Mustapha Bundu also faces an AFCON double header for Sierra Leone, against Cote d'Ivoire.
The Leone Stars are searching for vital points in their qualifying efforts, having only picked up one from the opening round of games, against Chad.
Two of our Greens have also been selected to represent their countries at youth level.
Darko Gyabi is in the England Elite League Squad (MU20s) for matches against Italy and Czechia.
Freddie Issaka will represent Wales U19s in a pair of matches against Italy.
