Argyle drawn at Home to Sutton in the Emirates FA Cup
Argyle have been drawn at home to Sutton United in the third round of the Emirates FA Cup.
The tie will take place on the weekend of 5-8 January, 2024. We will advise on the specific day and ticketing arrangements as soon as they are confirmed.
Argyle have never played Sutton, who are currently bottom of Sky Bet League Two. Sutton are in their third season in that division, having reached the EFL for the first time in their history in 2021, when they won the Vanarama National League.
Sutton, who beat AFC Fylde in round one and Horsham in the second round, produced one of the most famous shocks in FA Cup history, in 1988/89. Then a Conference (National League) side, Sutton beat Coventry City 2-1, with the Sky Blues an established top-flight outfit at the time, and had won the FA Cup in 1987.
