Argyle draw Poole Town in Women's FA Cup first round

Argyle have been drawn at home to Poole Town in the first round of the Adobe Women’s FA Cup.  

The 'proper' rounds of the competition begin on Sunday, 3 November, with Argyle playing host to the Dolphins. Location, kick-off time and ticket information will be announced in due course.  

Poole play in the Regen Arable South West Regional Women’s Football League Premier Division, two divisions below the Pilgrims. They are ninth in their league, out of 11 teams, having won one and lost four of their five league games so far.   

Argyle reached the fourth round of the competition last season, beating Ilminster Town and AFC Stoneham, before a thrilling victory over Oxford United in round three, following a penalty shoot-out. The run came to an end in round four, with a defeat by Nottingham Forest.
